Ordering Procedure
Once your selection is finished a Kasco Stone salesman can proceed to price out your job. To get a quote for your counter top, you will need a layout print (plan view) to know the exact square footage of countertop surface, the linear footage of edge that will be profiled, amount of polished or unpolished cutouts and any type of customizing such as large radiuses, Korbeled corners, or bump outs. Kasco Stone will supply you with a layout and price at the same time.
Once you have made all the final decisions, you can proceed to schedule a template with Kasco Stone. There are several ways to generate counter top templates depending on the difficulties of your job. If your counter tops are highly intricate, we may opt to make a 1/4" wood template to send with the order  Simpler countertops can be measured on site or when the cabinet order is placed by the dealer.
Regardless of what method is used to determine your counter top dimensions, Kasco Stone will generate a drawing of all orders of the job. The shop drawings must be signed by the party responsible for measuring and  installing your counter top. This system for checking and double checking all aspects of the  job before we begin ensures that your job will run smoothly and efficiently.
Installation Procedure
Kasco Stone maintains a two week lead time for all granite counter top orders. This lead time does not begin until a checklist and shop drawing is signed and approved. If there are undecided issues with your order such as sinks, faucets or other appliance not being selected, the job cannot be started.
When Kasco Stone is finished fabricating your order, we are ready for install.  All granite is delivered by Kasco Stone trucks and installed by Kasco Stone technicians. Prior to installation, all base cabinetry must be installed and cleared of their contents. Access to the project area must be clear of any item that would affect the safe transportation of the countertop pieces to their final resting positions.  The Customer should be on-site in person, or provide an authorized individual to certify that all installation work has been conducted to a satisfactory standard.
Kasco Stone  does not perform any electrical or plumbing work. Please ensure all existing countertops, and install appliances such as sinks and cooktops are disconnected, prior to the arrival of the installation team. The installation team will undermount sinks and install cook-tops, without performing any hook-ups. Once the installation is complete, you should allow any adhesive to cure and use a professional to reconnect your new appliances.  If full backsplashes are being installed, under cabinetry lighting must be removed prior to splash installation.

Kasco Stone does not attach dishwashers to the undersides of countertops. The safest method of installation is for a wooden plinth to be glued to the underside of the counter, and the installation brackets of the dishwasher screwed in to this. Please arrange for a cabinetry or appliance installation professional to perform this procedure.  The installation team will complete all stone installation, clean-up the surrounding project area, and apply an initial coat of stone sealer to all natural surfaces.

Once your appliances have been re-attached and connected by your qualified professionals, please enjoy your beautiful stone counters for many years to come!.

counter top are all part of the Selection Process.  Thankfully, natural stone works with all decor styles from traditional or country to modern or elegant.
Some granites without color variations could be selected from very small samples. Although variations give granite its natural beauty these same variations could cause disenchantment if you're looking for something that is going to be exactly the same throughout every piece. We strongly suggest that you choose your slab(s) in person. Kasco Stone does have a small stock of slabs in-house. For most jobs, we can recommend that our clients visit a granite stockyard, with whom we have established a relationship, that will allow you to personally pick your slab(s). In most cases, our clients have envisioned a specific color in mind.  Maybe it is a color they saw at a friend’s home or a color they viewed on the Internet.  Upon seeing all the color variations in person that are available, in the end, they complete their granite shopping venture with something completely different.  Before making a final selection on natural stone, be prepared to accept its earthly beauty along with its natural variance.
The next choice is edge profiles. Granite fabrication from Kasco Stone includes a standard eased edge.  Other edges such as full bullnose, half Bullnose, demi bullnose, Fabricating Granite, Marble, and Natural Stone ogee edge or beveled edge are also available. The selection of the edge will help determine the proper overhang to give your counter tops.

Granite slabs are approximately 108"-128" long and 56"-72" high by 1 1/4" thick (3cm+-.) Counter top parts that are bigger than this must be seamed. The average kitchen counter top has one or more seams. A colored epoxy or silicone is normally used to fill counter top seams but because of granite's natural shade variations the seams are not 100% invisible.

The final step in selecting your countertop requires the selection of your sink, faucet, surface unit and any other appliances that will affect your countertop. You will need this information for pricing, ordering, templating and final install.  Kasco Stone will be with you every step of the way to ensure that your visions become reality.
